Rumaisa Khawaja | LIFE COACH & SPEAKER

Rumaisa is Certified in Social Emotional Intelligence for Leadership and Coaching. She is a First Generation Indian American. When Rumaisa was very young, her mother was diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression. Growing up in this environment affected Rumaisa’s perception of self and the world around her, but it also pushed Rumaisa to seek help and later motivated her to assist others in developing positive relationships. She has built her career helping people achieve dynamic, positive changes in their lives by providing them with meaningful tools to implement day-to-day. Rumaisa has over seventeen years of experience across the country honing her expertise in life and relationship coaching.

Jasmine Bozeman, a passionate “millennial on a mission,” uses the power of experience, education, and empowerment to lead listeners from helplessness to hopefulness. An energetic motivational speaker and relatable published author, Jasmine is equipped with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, multiple spiritual training certificates, and over 10 years of client-centered service. A first-generation college graduate, but also an over-comer of homelessness and divorce, Jasmine’s life has been filled with learning lessons. She has committed herself to pointing out the best in others, with efforts that lead to self-exploration and the pursuit of what matters most.

Bushra Amiwala | MEDIA ICON & ACTIVIST

Bushra Amiwala is a media icon, activist, dynamic speaker, and the youngest Muslim Elected official in the United States. At the age of 19, she announced her candidacy for the Cook County Board of Commissioners to serve as a voice for her underrepresented generation and other marginalized communities. Her campaign has been covered nationally by TIME magazine, Teen Vogue and Scholastic Magazine to name a few. Bushra's passion for various issues and organizations lead her to decide to run for office and her campaign resulted in historical voter turnout, making her a strong second with 13,500 votes.

Aleeza Singh | SENIOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR

Aleeza Singh is a seasoned Senior Financial Advisor at The Singh Group - Merrill Lynch. She manages a five person team and overseeing the financial lives of families in the Quad Cities and across the country. She serves on the Quad Cities Chamber Q2030 Steering Committee and the Young Professional Think Tank. She is an active board member with Family Resources, the Figge Art Museum, the University of Iowa Career Leadership Academy Alumni Board, and the Augustana CORE Career Development Advisory Council. Aleeza is also a mentor for Lead(Her) of the Quad Cities.

Kit has been a trainer and activist for 14 years working relentlessly in the areas of nonviolence education and assisting people in healing from violence and abuse. Argrow’s House is a safe space where free services are offered daily for women healing from violence and abuse in the greater Quad Cities area.

 

Leslie Klipsch | Empower Tanzania & The Mama Bear Dares Podcast

After becoming a mother, Leslie left work as a teacher to finish her Masters Degree in Literary Writing and begin a career as a freelance writer. Along with being a contributor to both the Radish Magazine and The Gold Book Magazine, Leslie is now a podcast host, part owner of CoworkQC and Director of Communications for Empower Tanzania, a partnership with rural Tanzanians to improve their quality of life.

 

Sarah Stevens | The Beautiful Project

Sarah is a co-owner of Black Pearl Coaching and Consulting and serves as a consultant to small businesses and nonprofits. Through this work, she accepted a position as the inaugural Executive Director with Lead(h)er, a nonprofit that connects women with mentors to fuel career and community engagement. 

 

Katie Thompson | The Market: A Journey to Joy 

Katie worked in nonprofits for 10 years and is now an entrepreneur giving new business owners a platform for their passions. Katie Thompson is the Owner and Founder of THE Market: A Journey to Joy, a curated collection of vendors with handmade products and crafted items.

 

Heidi Huiskamp Collins | Huiskamp-Collins Investments 

Heidi opened Huiskamp Collins Investments in 2017. She serves on the board of directors for the Amy Helpenstell Foundation and the Audit and Finance Committee of Friendship Manor, a non-profit retirement community. She’s also a charter member of Women United Born Learning initiative for early childhood learning, and is a Big Sister at the Rock Island Academy for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
